You might be the most sociable person on Earth, but everyone appreciates their alone time. I used to constantly have the need for people around me like ur flat mate , but as you grow and mature and learn to be comfortable with yourself, you begin to really appreciate urself and 'me time'.But right nw , I d rather spend indoors locked up in my room with my notebook than go out and socialize. Yeah, the internet really does kill ur need for human companionship (at least in person). I guess the world is evolving that way that people no longer have time to be with other people, so each one for himself ...

true, alone time is essential for sanity. weird thing is, people don't generally agree. i'm considered as something of a freak for insisting on doing somethings on my own.

Yeah I couldn't stand it when folk on my course used to ask me for joint study sessions during undergrad. Most of the time it was just people picking each others brains, trying to get maximum perks of being there without actually doing any 'sharing of knowledge' themselves.

Your flatmate sounds very much like a 'people-person', a breed I am yet unable to fathom in the slightest:)
